Re: Andre Ayew
Baffling that we spent the thick end of £30m on him and snodgrass.
Antonio back on the right will make a massive difference to the team - can't imaging Zabaleta ever wants to play behind Ayew again.
The way rashford's pace terrorised us yesterday is what antonio can offer

Re: Andre Ayew
When I have watched him closely at home he does run about a fair bit. But never to present for the ball and never the hard yards backwards to cover danger.
As I said .::: hiding.

A bit like when Etherington used to hide behind a full back to avoid being found with the ball.
Easy to spot when you pay attention

Re: Andre Ayew
like valencia, I struggle to work out what position he'd play best in? he's definitely not a wide player so maybe would be best as a deep lying forward off the front man. with carvahlo in his way I'm not sure Bilic has any interest using that system so he'll continue to be used in unsuitable roles

Re: Andre Ayew
I do not rate him at all. I said it the day he signed.

But he does work hard. Ran second furthest in our team yesterday apparently.

Re: Andre Ayew
Have always said he hides and the fact that he has Alex V fooled makes me more sure of it.
Not a bad footballer but there is nowhere where he works in our team. In all meanings of the word.

Should have been a bonfire of all of these mistakes from last season the day last season finished.

I had high hopes for him , bit of a disappointment so far.

Re: Andre Ayew
I don't know why we persist in playing him wide as he rarely beats a full back and never chases back to help his own.

The only goals he seems to score are from in the six yard box so might as well just play him as an out and out goal hanger.

Re: Andre Ayew
Ayew reminds me a bit of Luis Boa Morte.

There was a player there but soon as he puts the West Ham shirt on he becomes distinctly average.

Re: Andre Ayew
I expect the only reason that he's still here and Feghouli is on his way out is that Feghouli will return a profit and we'd lose money on Ayew so he's being given more time.

Of the 2 players last season, Ayew was quite consistently average. I don't remember a game where he played and showed glimpses that he is a £20m signing. There weren't many glimpses of promise from him.

Whereas Feghouli was a bit more inconsistent, at least there were a few games where he looked up for it, he looked sharp and took defenders on and put a ball into the box and worked hard - and you thought that maybe there is a good player in there.

I think Feghouli would be worth keeping hold of over Ayew but money talks.

He's 💩 crap.

Hernandez has played with the world's best. God only knows what he must think of Ayew, but probably .... YOU FUCKING DONKEY.

Re: Andre Ayew
He IS lazy. He might run around at times to give the impression he's putting work in, but he shies away from actually doing anything. He is the ultimate coward, I'd genuinely rather have Snodgrass in the team.

Re: Andre Ayew
An infuriating performance from Ayew yesterday.

If Bilic has anything about him that will be the point where he decides to get shot as soon as.

Those 3 were poor, and so were the other 8.

Re: Andre Ayew
Out of all the players we brought last year only 3 were left in the side yesterday, and they were probably the worst on the pitch.

Just reiterates what a step backwards last season was.

Re: Andre Ayew
He seems to be on a different wavelength to the rest of the team. He hasn't built an understanding with any of the rest of them, doesn't know what he's supposed to be doing.

Good at being in the right place when the ball's pinging around the box, offers nothing when we don't even get the ball into the box.

Alex V 12:47 Mon Aug 14
Re: Andre Ayew
I don't agree that he's lazy. He works hard imo - he was still getting into the box in the final minutes yesterday. But his position is a problem - he doesn't instinctively cover back, he just floats around. It's an almost impossible player to fit into a system.

Would be a good buy for Swansea once they have the Sigurdssen money.

Darby_ 11:38 Mon Aug 14

I agree with this. He is a LW or CAM not RW

Sq pegs in round holes which seems to happen alot with Slav

Scored 6 goals towards the back end of last season so could easily chip in with 10+ this year. We just need to get the best out of him

Willtell 11:47 Mon Aug 14
Re: Andre Ayew
I saw him sprinting a few times Eerie. He was running back late where he was supposed to be so he did make some effort...

Eerie Descent 11:45 Mon Aug 14
Re: Andre Ayew
Yeah, you're right Darby, and for that reason, how can you expect him to put in ANY EFFORT WHATSOEVER?

I mean, it's not like he is being paid millions of pound to at least look like he cares is it?
